Volunteers founded SBAN, and SBAN will continue to thrive with the hands and hearts of new volunteers. Friends and alumni of Summerbridge and Breakthrough programs are welcomed to give their time to any of SBAN’s programs.

Share your story and help develop our high school students' professional skills and interests through the following rewarding and engaging volunteer opportunities:

CAREER PANEL
WEDNESDAY, JULY 10 | 3:45 - 4:30 PM
Sit in on our career panel. Students this year have expressed particular interest in the following fields: law, medicine, social work/social services, and engineering (seeking 4-5 professionals).

MOCK INTERVIEWS
WEDNESDAY, JULY 24 | 3:45 - 4:30 PM ORTHURSDAY, AUGUST 1 | 1:15 - 2:15 PM
Interview our high school students in preparation for future professional and academic interviews (seeking 15 volunteers).
 
ON-SITE CAREER DAY
FRIDAY, AUGUST 2 | AFTERNOON | 1-2 HOURS
Host a small group of students at your workplace and give students a feel for a professional environment. Activities may include an office tour, small panel discussion, and/or conversation over snacks/lunch.
 
CAREER SHADOWING/ONE-ON-ONE'S
BY APPOINTMENT
Host a 10th-12th grade student at your workplace for an hour or a day, or arrange a time to chat with a student about their career interests and your career path.
